A view from my quilting sweatshop. The boys are hanging out by my Pfaff, aka: "Pfaffie". Note the pile of scraps from previous projects: Chocolat fabric from my two quilts, Amy Butler Nigella fabric from my placemats. I will organize (some day). But in the meantime the boys think it makes a dandy place to nap and snuggle.

I'm surprised to hear you don't like your Pfaff for machine quilting. I do at least half of my quilting on a Pfaff but an older model. Is is tension problems with free motion? I love the dual feed (IDT) for the ditch quilting. It feeds so nicely.
I just bought a foot for in the ditch quilting - and I haven't tried it yet. I feel fine about the straight stitch quilting. It's the free motion machine quilting that I have trouble with.

I would think that it was me - but a friend who is really good hates her Pfaff quilt expression 2044 (we have the same model). Another friend has the same model and hates the free motion mode too.

At Long Beach a friend "test drove" a Jenome and a Pfaff. And the Jenome was noticably better on the same sample. In fact, the Pfaff dealer saw the Jenome sample and said - oh you must be an experienced machine quilter. She isn't.

Thanks for the visit & comment.
