I Like Linen and Linen Likes Me

So a friend of mine gives me these bits of Mario Fortuny patterned fabric ($200/yard yummies). It's the yellow fabric w/ pale silkscreen cream pattern. I feel that a thank you card is not enough. I was in one of my favorite stores and saw this 100% linen in cream and aqua. Ahhh! How could I resist? I think you can see why I think she'll like them. She gives fabulous brunch parties on vintage family china. Real linen linens is just what her parties need!

I'm going to make simple linen placemats with this linen as my thank you. Sometimes with fabric this wonderful nothing more is needed.
