Cheap Thrills - Placemats
Ahhh, instant gratification - placemats.
This is me playing with fabric and color. It's playtime!
I got these cool batik fabrics as a gift. They "matured" in my stash until just the perfect time. We redid the kitchen in blue and white. So, guess what, my old quilted placemats didn't go (bye, bye Kaffe Fassette). But these jumped out of my stash and said "pick me, choose me!" And so I did.
The quilting is mostly just lines from a french curve. Sometimes picking up the flow of the fabric. Sometimes not.
