Everyday Granola


1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon sea salt
8 cups rolled oats (note: not quick oats)
1 1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup water
4 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preheat oven 275 degrees. Line two jelly pan sheets (baking sheets) with parchment paper.

In a large pyrex 4 cup measuring cup mix salt water and sugar. Microwave in 1-2 minute increments until completely dissolved. Add vanilla extract when done.

Mix all remaining ingredients. Bake 1 hour (plus or minus) until lightly brown on underside and crunchy.
